Martha L. Bahamón

Managing Director, Development

Martha Bahamon is the Managing Director of Development at National Skills Coalition, where she leads resource development efforts to advance the mission of the organization. Martha is guided by the belief in making the world a better place by discovering where opportunities lie and closing meaningful philanthropic commitments that catapult organizations to new heights. Prior to joining the National Skills Coalition, Martha served as Executive Director of Development for Foundation Relations at the University of Denver. Under Martha’s leadership, she led campus-wide engagement strategies with institutional funders securing multimillion dollar grants to support scholarships, programs, and research.

Martha launched her fundraising career at the United Way of Essex and West Hudson in Newark, New Jersey, and then went on to lead fundraising efforts at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, and the Hispanic Federation in New York City. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rutgers University, followed by two master’s degrees, one in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the other in Public Administration and Non-Profit Management from New York University. She is based in Denver, Colorado.
