Adult Education: The Hidden Talent Pipeline: Legislative Briefing
The briefing will highlight the needs of adult learners and provide information about the interconnected role of adult education in our workforce development and higher education systems. There will be two panels, the first consisting of individuals who will share their experiences as former adult learners who now work in adult education programs. The second panel will consist of business and community college leaders who will speak to the importance of partnering with adult education programs to help adults be successful in the workplace and in higher education. During the course of the briefing, you will also hear about new legislation to strengthen adult education to help adult learners succeed in the workplace and earn a family sustaining wage.
