National Skills Coalition was mentioned in The Job newsletter, in a story that focused short-term credentials, micro–internships, tech equity, and the push for workforce development funds.
The newsletter mentioned NSC CEO Andy Van Kleunen’s Q&A with Spencer Overton, president of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies and the center’s endorsement of the JOBS Act, which would extend Pell Grants to high-quality, short-term credentials: “Black workers need expanded access to high-quality training to quickly get back to work and prepare for jobs that promote economic mobility,” Overton said.
