Washington, D.C.— Andy Van Kleunen, CEO of National Skills Coalition, was named today to the Postsecondary Value Commission, formed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in partnership with the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP). The Commission’s goal is to examine, explore, and define the value of postsecondary education in the U.S., taking a critical look at how well it contributes to economic opportunity for students and families.

“We applaud the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for its commitment to ensuring that our postsecondary education system improves equity, drives economic mobility, and expands job opportunities for students and families,” said Andy Van Kleunen. “We’re glad that these issues will be at the core of the commission’s work and we look forward to partnering with the other experts and leaders to advance meaningful solutions to achieve those goals.”

The commission will meet several times over the next 12 months and share its findings by mid-2020.
