Yasmin Fallahkhair is Director of State Advocacy and Partnerships at National Skills Coalition. In this role, Yasmin leads NSC’s State Strategies Team, directs the organization’s state advocacy strategy, and oversees the development and growth of NSC’s state network, including SkillSPAN.

As part of NSC’s Leadership Team, Yasmin helps shape organizational strategies while overseeing initiatives that strengthen advocacy, organizing, and coalition-building efforts across the country. She cultivates and manages partnerships, working closely with state-based advocates, practitioners, and policymakers to support policy development, mobilize multi-stakeholder coalitions, and advance effective advocacy strategies within NSC’s state network.

Yasmin joined NSC in 2020 and previously served on the organization’s State Strategies Team as State Network Manager and Senior State Network Manager. Her thought leadership has informed the design of numerous state advocacy strategies, and she has been featured in media outlets covering state-based policymaking.

Before joining NSC, Yasmin served as a Senior Associate at Whiteboard Advisors, where she designed and implemented government affairs and MarCom strategies in support of innovative entrepreneurs and visionary organizations. Yasmin also brings extensive experience and knowledge in education policy, having served in communications, development, and policy advocacy roles at the Data Quality Campaign for over 5 years.

Yasmin holds an MPA from American University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is born, raised, and based in Washington, D.C.
