Advocates Press Appropriators to Restore Labor-HHS-Education Funding | National Skills Coalition

April 14, 2014

More than 1,000 groups are asking appropriators to restore fiscal 2010 spending levels for the bill funding the
Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and Education at $163.6 billion.

The stakeholder groups are interested in a wide range of issues covered by the spending bill, including health and
education, and are active on the national, state, and local level. They noted that funding for the programs and services
provided under the measure have eroded since fiscal 2010. Although the 2013 budget agreement (PL 113-67) started to
reverse the trend of cuts, more needs to be done, the groups said.
